That same belief—that no one should have to figure it all out alone—is also what inspired me to build something new.

Today, I’m thrilled to officially launch SoundTypr™, a free sound design utility made for creatives like you.

SoundTypr™ lets you trigger and shape sounds in real time using your keyboard. You can upload your own files, create patches, assign keys, and record output directly into your DAW. It’s fast, intuitive, and built to help you get inspired and stay in flow.

And like the mentorship platform, it’s free—because I believe tools like this should be accessible to everyone, especially those just starting out who may not have the budget, but have all the passion in the world.

About the Author

Joe Miuccio's career spans over 30 years in audio post, working across advertising, film, and television. In 2008, he founded Audio Pro Network as a private, algorithm-free community for audio professionals. In 2022, he launched Audio Post Accelerator, a first-of-its-kind virtual mentorship program that pairs emerging talent with working pros. Joe also offers full audio post services through his company, Pure Sound.
